2025 LGAT Annual Conference

The 2025 LGAT Annual Conference, brought to you by MAV Insurance, will take place on 20 and 21 November at the Grand Chancellor, Hobart. With the theme “Planning for the Future”, this year’s event will bring together local government professionals, thought leaders and innovators from across Tasmania and beyond.

The program features an inspiring line-up of speakers including demographer Simon Kuestenmacher, social media expert Felicity Cull, and futurist Stephen Yarwood. Attendees can also enjoy a variety of workshops, networking sessions, and the much-anticipated President’s Welcome Drinks on 19 November.

A highlight of the event will be the 2025 Awards for Excellence and the 2025 Service Awards at the Conference Dinner recognising outstanding contributions to local government communities across Tasmania.
