2024 LGA SA Ordinary General Meeting And Awards Dinner

2024 Local Government Association of South Australia Ordinary General Meeting and Awards Dinner

The Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) is a key decision-making and policy setting forum for the LGA. This year, the OGM and conference is split over two days 23 May - 24 May 2024. It starts with networking drinks at the welcome reception on Thursday evening at the historic and stylish Electra House. It then moves into the LGA OGM Conference the following day, at the iconic Adelaide Town Hall. Here's what you can expect:

  • Welcome Reception: Kick off by connecting with local government elected members and staff – a great opportunity to reconnect, forge valuable new contacts and set the stage for the conference the next day.
  • LGA Conference and Annual General Meeting: This is the heart of the event – the place where your voice is heard. The conference is a fantastic chance to learn more about what's happening across local government with best practice lesson you can take back to your council.

Exploring the future of Local Government

The theme this year is Vision 2050: The Future of Local Government.

How have our towns and cities changed since the pandemic? And where do we expect them to go?

As more people choose to work from home, we are seeing a shift in our urban landscape. This can mean the growth of new businesses and technologies, changes in how we work, and shifts in what people like to buy.

But with changes to workplace environments, there are possible transformations in the way our cities and towns look. Find out how these will impact your council—and the steps you need to take to adapt.
