Leadership Development and Team Profiling
Leadership Development and Team Profiling are crucial aspects of any organisation’s Talent Management Strategy. It is essential to any organisation to develop great leaders who can drive change and innovation with effective and collaborative teams around them.
Leadership Development
The key purpose of the Leadership Development Programme is to provide participants with a sense of identity as leaders within the organisation, to foster and encourage their current skills, develop and realise their leadership potential.
Talent Architects approach to leadership development is based on 3 principles outlined below.
- Effective leadership requires high levels of self-awareness - You can’t lead others if you can’t lead yourself; you can’t lead yourself if you don’t know yourself.
- Leadership is future oriented and visionary; management focuses on the solution of problems as they present today.
- Leadership can be taught and learned.
Our approach to leadership sees us operate at the individual, team, and organisational levels and where they intersect. At the individual level we provide executive coaching to enhance personal leadership effectiveness.
At the team level we work with leadership teams to ensure there are healthy, honest relationships built on high levels of trust and shared commitment to organisational goals and behavioural standards.
At the organisational level, we support organisations to develop their Talent and Leadership Strategies, provide fast track programs for emerging leaders and help identify workplace experiential learning opportunities and interventions.
Team Profiling
Combined with our Leadership Development Program we also conduct Team Profiling to ensure the teams around each leader work effectively and to the best of their ability.
For team profiling we utilise a Team Management System (TMS). This begins with an in-depth questionnaire completed by all participants. Each participant receives a report on the outcomes and the team, as a whole, receive a feedback report.
The feedback report provides clearly identified major personal work preferences, including decision making, leadership strengths, interpersonal skills, team building and management styles. This material is then integrated into a team profile and improvement workshops.
The TMS is a suite of tools covering team issues, values, communication, and change management, which all use a consistent approach and language, therefore offers several tools and workshops to improve organisational effectiveness.
