To continue meeting community needs and continued growth the city now seeks applications for the position of Director Finance and Governance. The Director Finance & Governance leads and manages the strategic and operational direction of the Directorate to meet community expectations, deliver organisational key performance indicators and maintain financial, governance and corporate compliance accountabilities in line with our ambitious Community Plan.
The Directorate, through the Director is responsible for the formation, monitoring and reporting on Council's significant budget; currently over $40 million and a Long-Term Financial Plan estimating a capital expenditure of $93 million over the next ten years.
We seek an individual with extensive knowledge of financial, governance and corporate compliance matters, to deliver our mandate to drive change both in process improvement and technology implementation.
You will be highly organised with the ability to manage all levels of stakeholders across the business and externally. As a broad conceptual thinker, your ability to improve processes and innovate to deliver outstanding technical solutions and service to our customers will see you succeed in this key role.
Working at a strategic level, you will be an empowering leader who can harness and enhance the talent within the team.
To be considered for this role you will have tertiary qualifications in accounting and post graduate qualifications (CA or CPA) or a relevant discipline, with a strong financial background and relevant experience at a senior level.
