This newly created, business-critical role is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the Regulatory Services Department and its functions. Council is looking for a creative-thinking, inspirational leader to develop a cohesive regulatory function, and to provide key stakeholders with informed services and expert advice relating to town planning, built environment, land dealings, public health, local laws and broader environmental health issues.
Your initial objective will be to build and develop the department, relevant systems and policies, and therefore an extensive senior management background in regulatory services within Local Government is essential. You will be a natural team leader who understands the value of collaborative thinking and teamwork, have the confidence to stand by your own ideas and initiatives, and bring a creative approach to problem-solving.
This is a unique and exceptional opportunity to make a newly created role your own, and of course why wouldn't you want to live, work and play in this beautiful location?
