Following a recent promotion within the Design and Technical Services team, Council is looking for an exceptional Drafter/Designer to provide a range of technical solutions focused on a broad spectrum of Engineering-based applications. You will be involved at all stages of the design process from concept through to detailed design, and including options analysis, specifications for quotes and tenders, and basic project management.
You will be working towards developing a strong design background - ideally using Civil3D or Civil Site Design and AutoCAD within a road/drainage environment ensuring a good understanding of civil construction.
You will need an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or be a considerable way through this degree to apply. Likewise, experience in Local Government or the private consulting arena along with experience in design of civil works and general municipal works will be highly regarded.
