Our client is a young quadriplegic male that is seeking a team of skilled and dedicated support workers who have the knowledge and expertise to work with people that have Spinal Cord Injury.

Our client is located in the Newcastle area and has requested that support workers have a person-centred approach, understand community care and have a team mind set to a 24/7 roster. It is paramount for continuity that all team members have a strong work ethic and can commit long-term.

What does McArthur Community Care require?

  • Ability to work 8-10 hours active overnight shifts.
  • Recognise and differentiate between spasms whilst ACTIVELY observing overnight
  • Experience supporting people with a high-level SCI
  • Management of breathing patterns and sleep apnea
  • Able to maintain and demonstrate a person-centred approach.
  • NSW Working with Children Check
  • NSW working with Disability Check
  • Certificate 3 in Disability (or equivalent)
  • First Aid Certificate including CPR
  • Manual Handling
  • Medications and competency-based training evidence
