Darebin City Council is currently looking to recruit a Principal Strategic Planner to their team. Reporting to the Coordinator Strategic Planning, this is a pivotal role in the strategic planning team, that will see you contributing significantly in the team to shape the future city.
You will be a strong team player who can build highly effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and staff. Your ability to provide detailed planning advice and carry out research into complex and multi -facetted planning issues and your ability to establish and maintain consultative and communication processes will see you work in an innovative, collaborative environment, helping to implement change for the better within a growing and transforming community.
In this role you will also assist the Coordinator strategic planning in mentoring staff and reviewing and developing planning policies. You will also coordinate and assess major projects and undertake investigations and prepare feasibility studies on planning issues.
To be successful in this role you will have a relevant tertiary qualification in an urban planning related field and substantial experience in the provision of planning services in a strategic planning role. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to motivate and engage in a dynamic environment, whilst being collaborative with a range of stakeholders.
