Project Portfolio Management Coordinator

Location: NSW
Work Type: Full Time permanent/Term Contract
  • Innovative, forward-focused Council
  • Newly created position
  • Help drive a major change agenda

As the fastest growing local government area in Australia, Camden is currently home to 90,000 residents and is projected to double over the next 20 years. It has a strong mix of industrial and commercial business hubs with a growing focus on retail, construction, manufacturing and education.

Council is currently looking for an experienced project management professional with high level technical and management skills to make this newly created position their own.

With an emphasis on maximising process, time and cost efficiencies, you will oversee the management of Council's portfolio of capital, community and corporate projects including governance, co-ordination, scheduling, monitoring and reporting. On a more detailed level, this will include building and monitoring Council's pipeline of projects to ensure they are delivering its strategic outcomes, analysing and monitoring project performance and building organisation-wide capability in both project and change management. A natural leader, you will also provide direction, guidance and support to both your own team and a broad range of internal stakeholders.

Tertiary qualified in project management or a related field, you have an impressive track record in planning and managing multiple activities at a portfolio level and complex programs and projects within changing, outcome driven environments. High levels of professionalism and initiative have given you the confidence to make your own decisions and to be the leadership focal point for your own team.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence the long-term vision of a Council committed to smarter thinking, innovation and continuous improvement.
