Located on the Sydney CBD fringe, Inner West is one of Australia's most progressive and community-focused new councils serving a resident base of approximately 190,000 in an area of 36 sq km from Balmain in the North, Newtown in the East, Tempe in the South and Croydon in the West.
With an emphasis on developing and implementing long term community-facing strategy by building collaborative working partnerships, you would be an executive with a track record of success leading across all frontline aspects of organisational activities. You will have the ability to effectively build and foster communication links between Council and the broader organisation while also playing a critical advisory role across any issues or challenges.
The successful applicant will have a detailed understanding of the unique strengths of the Inner West community and a passion for making the Council a leader in public policy and service delivery.
Long-term strategic vision, 'big picture' thinking and an uncompromising commitment to community-based outcomes will all be part of your management DNA. You will have a highly impressive background of managing complex and far-reaching change agendas ideally within politically sensitive environments. You are quick to build confidence and credibility at all levels.
