We are looking for a dynamic, collaborative, inspiring and inspired Local Government professional or high performing executive wanting to take their next step in their career with a genuinely challenging role in a lifestyle location that is the capital of North Australia and Gateway to Asia.

You will be focused on building a service culture dedicated to providing the highest level of core Local Government services to the community of the City of Darwin, while also working towards the growth, development and presentation of the City. In every element of your key leadership position there will be challenges and opportunities that you will tackle with ease in an innovative and professional manner.

Reporting to the COO and focused on improving the liveability of our residents, you will be responsible for the management of the City's overall community development including Sport and Recreation, Leisure and Lifestyle, Darwin Entertainment Centre, Libraries, Vibrant Communities and Regulatory Services. You will also continually promote and champion innovation and provide the visionary leadership required to help drive the organisations vision, desired outcomes and community expectations.

A high level, experienced leader, you will have an extensive background working with Boards or Councils in the development and implementation of long term strategic planning and direction. You will have proven yourself as an exceptional Manager within highly complex, multi-stakeholder driven environments where the emphasis has been on effective resource and financial management, clear goal setting and collaborative, results focused team work.
