Located 90 mins west of Brisbane, Toowoomba Region is one of Queensland’s key regional centres, home to 165,000 residents, a thriving agricultural industry and a growing commercial and logistics sector. As an influential member of the Executive team, you will be responsible for providing front-line leadership, guidance and support across all water and waste services activities. More specifically this will include the development and implementation of key strategies and policies aimed at ensuring community asset utilisation and the effective delivery of associated community services. From an internal perspective, a main area of focus will be to build and cultivate a culture of collaboration, positive thinking and continuous improvement.

Tertiary qualified to Postgraduate level, you will have a strong background in Utilities or, considerable executive management experience with an emphasis on the successful delivery of water and/or waste services or similar. Your strong strategic and operational skills and your natural and inspiring leadership will ensure you can quickly build trust and credibility with a wide range of stakeholders. You will also have the exceptional communication skills needed to meet the challenge of organisational/cultural change and deal effectively with political sensitivities.
