Central Coast Council is the 9th largest local government area in Australia, with a growing community of 300,000+. Ideally located on the northern fringe of Sydney, the Central Coast offers pristine beaches, beautiful national parks and lush hinterland, making it one of the best places in Australia to live and work.

Currently in its transitionary phase resulting from the recent merger, Council is transforming the organisation into a single entity, harnessing the merger benefits and forming a solid foundation upon which to shape the future in collaboration with its vibrant community.

Critical to Council's future success will be the appointment of a high performing executive team delivering across a broad section of Council services, to ensure exceptional service outcomes in line with organisational priorities.

These leadership roles report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and offer opportunities for strategically oriented leaders to drive reform, enhance team culture and build high performing teams in a modern, responsive, values based organisation which delivers value for money.

The Group Leader, Assets, Infrastructure and Planning is responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of the Assets, Infrastructure and business group to drive an excellent commercial culture and maximise the value of Council's assets to the community.

This role will provide leadership and direction in contract and project management and will influence internal and external stakeholders to ensure Council's property and other assets are value-added, to enhance the quality and sustainability of lifestyle on the Central Coast.

Applicants require relevant tertiary qualifications, excellent financial and project management skills, an understanding of the dynamic and future demands of local government and a track record of success at executive level. Attractive remuneration packages will be negotiated.
