IN HOME CARE

Our innovative In Home Care Scheme aims to support parents meet their family and work responsibilities in a balanced and sensitive manner.  The service, targeted at families with young and school age children, is offered in the family home and provides families with access to an experienced carer, who ideally will be selected by the family.

The Scheme offers care solutions to families in a range of circumstances which include:

  • the usual in-home carer is not available

  • the usual care setting is not available

  • before and after school care

  • school vacation care

  • mildly sick children who have been excluded from day care, pre school or school due to illness

  • recuperating children

  • children with a temporary disability

  • when the family requires additional support

We also offer access to long term carers, providing families with the flexibility to add or reduce days of care as the work demands of the parents change.  In short, families decide how and when they wish to access the Scheme, discussing their particular need with a Scheme Consultant.

Contact your local McArthur office to discuss your interest in registering as a carer or your requirement for In Home Care.  All carers are screened as required by State legislation.
